Eradicating
Woodworm
|
|
e-Radication
operates the most up to date service in Ireland in this
field.
For standard eradication of woodworm (Anobium Punctatum)
and for the prevention of attack and the treatment of structural
timbers, we at e-Radication use the very latest combination
of safe, environmentally friendly chemicals in compliance
with Health and Safety Regulations. Our experienced operatives
carry out their work in a most meticulous manner with as
little disturbance to the property being treated as possible.
|
|
|
For specialised
treatment of heavy structural timbers and or woodwork,
where only one side is exposed, we use a deep penetrating
emulsion. This emulsion has the unique ability to penetrate
timber deeply and evenly from one single surface application
and will keep penetrating for years.
All chemicals used in the eradication of woodworm, as
well as exerting the eradicant effect on timber pests
already active in the wood, also penetrate the surface
of the wood immediately thus preserving it from further
attack. Our skilled and experienced Surveyors can give
advice on the strengthening of any structural timbers,
which have been weakened by woodworm. Call on our experts
at any time for a Survey
Report and Estimate.

The
Treatment of Wet and Dry Rot
|
|

|
|
Dry rot (Serpula lacrymans) is the
most dangerous infestation of timber found in any building.
It can spread at a rapid rate turning sound wood into
worthless pulp in a very short time. At e-Radication we
specialise in the detection and eradication of this and
other associated timber rotting fungal infestations. It
is of importance that, when dealing with an infestation
of dry or wet rot, the initial cause of the infection
must first be discovered, fully investigated and dealt
with.
|
|
Rotting
wood and infested masonry must be removed from site and
disposed of. Remaining brickwork and timbers must be thoroughly
treated. All new building material must be treated with
fungicidal chemical before reinstatement. We manufacture
our own fungicidal fluid, which is made up of a combination
of fully approved environmentally friendly chemicals. The
formula is the latest obtainable & has been tested by
many leading research bodies.
