Controlling Rising Damp by Silicone Injection

Silicone High Pressure Injection for Rising Damp

Rising damp discolours decoration, causes wallpaper to peel off, paint to blister and flake, also moulds and spores to grow. Salts efflorescing on the surface often exaggerate these problems. If these salts are deliquescent they will extract moisture from the air and make matters even worse.

At e-Radication we have tried many methods and experiments and have found that one very special silicone repellent, when applied by experienced operators in the proper manner,

stops the damp from rising, enables the walls to dry out and prevents further recurrence. Our Surveyor will establish if rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation or other moisture is causing the problem. The use of a variety of meters and tests will be required to establish the full extent and nature of the problem.

The character of the walls must be assessed, together with the amount of damage to existing plasterwork both internally and externally. And finally whether fungal activity in the form of mycelium is present. Once these facts are known, the extent of the remedial treatment can be specified. Treatment generally will be undertaken in stages and directions as to this will be included in our Report.

Electro Osmotic Damp-proofing

Our Electro Osmotic system for controlling rising damp is not a new idea - it has been tested for many years.

At e-Radication we have thirty-five continuous years of experience in this field and have installed thousands of Osmotic Systems in Ireland.

Our system exploits the outstanding electrical characteristics of platinized titanium and the virtual indestructibility of commercially pure

titanium, which is similar to that used in space craft and jet aircraft. The system is completely reliable, we are not aware of any "failures" which can be attributed to the system, when it has been correctly installed and maintained within the environment for which it was designed.

The power consumption of the system is very small and the cost of installation is on a parallel with the cost of silicone injection.

We are approved installers for all types of Damp Proofing Systems and are therefore in a position to recommend and be capable of installing the best and most suitable system for any given set of circumstances.
